About Me

Annie Holleman, PhD (she)

Hi, I’m Annie.

When I have something big I have to do, all of a sudden my house gets really clean… and I haven’t started on the thing I actually need to do!  I recharge by spending time in nature, cooking for family and friends, and bingeing a good (or not so good) TV show.  And I like to get creative every once in a while.  My newest passion is pottery – it’s a lot of fun and provides opportunities for just about every emotion – curiosity, frustration, joy, accomplishment.

I am passionate about healing intergenerational trauma, supporting big feelers, and making mental health care truly for everyone.  I want to help people treat themselves and everyone else with the respect and love they deserve.

I am a licensed psychologist and earned my Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. My training focused on treating trauma and anxiety, learning to think critically, and engage helpfully with clients. My training and experience include therapy, assessment, and consultation in community agencies, hospitals, and primary care clinics with children, adolescents, and their families, and young adults. I completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Morrison Child and Family Services in Gresham, Oregon. My postdoctoral training at Austin Child Guidance Center included extensive assessment training and therapy work. I am trained in evidence-based frameworks including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, and attachment-based therapies.
